Jika Solar Energy

Renewable energy sources derive from natural resources, such as solar energy (Sun), wind energy (Winds) and these are the main areas renewable energy for Jika Jika.

The use of renewable energy sources has several advantages, since they produce much less Greenhouse Gases (GHG) and cause less impact on the environment, which is why they are considered clean energy sources.

Another advantage of renewable energies is that they are abundant in Mozambique.

Because renewable sources present an intermittent energy generation (i.e. not available constantly throughout the day or year), such as solar energy can’t be captured at night, for this Jika Jika designs, engineers, and installs backup systems.

Jika Jika renewable solar photovoltaic systems can work in two ways: on grid, (when it is connected to the public electricity distribution grid), and off grid (when it operates autonomously).
